A recognized expert on litigation and national and international arbitration, with over twelve years of experience as a judge and six years’ experience as a lawyer, Marius manages our Litigation and Arbitration Department. He graduated in law both in Romania and in Germany (Tübingen), and holds a Ph.D degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest.

Marius's practice covers corporate and commercial law, tax or administrative law, as well as counseling and representation in litigation and arbitration. Drawing on the experience acquired as a judge, Marius successfully manages an important litigation portfolio arising out of the performance of service contracts, works execution, public procurement procedures and tax issues.

Furthermore, during the past two years he served as arbitrator in the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also an insolvency practitioner and member of UNPIR – Bucharest.

Marius followed his criminal law experience acquired in the early years as a judge not only with a doctoral degree, but also while serving as a member in the committee drafting the new Criminal Procedure Code. Combining his business law knowledge with his expertise in criminal law, he has also provided representation and assistance in white-collar criminal cases.

Aside from the experience as a judge and as a lawyer, Marius led the Department of Analysis and Approval of Laws in the Ministry of Justice, after which he was appointed as General Director of the National Administration of Penitentiaries.
